field trial history
A Celebration of over
90 years of
Field Trial History
The working side history of the club is perhaps better glimpsed in the catalogue of winners of our Perpetual Field Trial Trophies.
Please enjoy reading through the award registers which have been documented since 1909, even before the club was registered.
Some extremely important owners have taken part in our Field Trials (or their dogs at least), including H.R.H. Queen Elizabeth II
It is interesting to see the emergence of successful kennels/owners over the years and we hope that you will enjoy looking through the lists and recognising names from your own dogs’ pedigree.
Unfortunately, some of our trophies are unaccounted for due to them not being returned or forgotten about in a cupboard somewhere.
A prior lack of traceability was highlighted in our full audit in 2012, and it would appear that some are sadly destined never to be presented again.
If you know the whereabouts of any of the club trophies, please let us know as we’d love to have them back to present to future worthy winners.
We hope you enjoy some of our history in Field Trials.
